DB Navigator is an app developed by Deutsche Bahn, Germany’s national railway company. In this case study, I am conducting analysis of the app to identify ways to enhance the user experience. For the analysis, I will use Jakob Nielsen’s Usability Heuristics, 10 general principles for interaction design:
Visibility of System Status
Match Between the System and the Real World
Consistency and Standards
Recognition Rather than Recall
I will focus on three specific screens of the app to allow for a deeper exploration of the topic.
Flexibility and Efficiency of Use
Aesthetic and Minimalist Design
Help Users Recognize, Diagnose, and Recover from Errors
